A Dovetail Triangular Tie is used to anchor masonry to concrete with the #1304 dovetail slot or with a wedge anchor. Typically dovetail anchor slots are cast into the concrete column, and anchors are installed into the masonry walls. Channel Slot Systems or various two-piece systems can be used on columns without dovetail slots. Dovetail System Failure loads: 520 lbs pullout from mortar bed 751 lbs tension 616 lbs compression 1” cavity 371 lbs shear.
